PGA Professionals can play a critical role in supporting golf and the environment.

Get involved:

  • Learn more about environmental efforts taking place at your course.

  • Serve as a liaison between the superintendent and golfers—to better explain the environmental actions being taken on the golf course and create support from everyone.

  • Support efforts to manage natural resources responsibly to owners, leadership committees, managers, and golfers.

  • Become more environmentally aware and knowledgeable through PGA of America educational materials, Audubon International, and other environmental education outlets.

The PGA of America is a not-for-profit organization that promotes the game of golf while continuing to enhance the standards of the profession. The Association is comprised of more than 28,000 men and women PGA Professionals who are dedicated to growing participation in the game of golf. PGA Professionals, who are expert instructors, skilled business persons, and community leaders, are the backbone of The PGA of America.

In 2004, The PGA of America and Audubon International entered into a partnership to work together to further fund and support environmental efforts in the golf industry.  Over the coming years the two organizations will continue to work to provide PGA Professionals with environmental training and education, to identify ways to get golfers involved, and to lead and support other golf and the environment efforts.
